About project

The main aim of the project is to present daily life of kids from three European countries – Poland, France and Slovakia. It will allow to learn about different aspects of their lives and get to know interesting facts about the partners’ schools, cities, countries and daily life.




Subjects: Art, Design and Technology, Foreign Languages, Informatics / ICT, Music, Primary School Subjects.


Languages: EN - FR - PL - SK.


Pupil's age: 6 - 10.


Tools to be used: e-mail, Other software (PowerPoint, video, pictures and drawings), Project Diary, Video conference, Web publishing.


Aims:
1. To get to know children from other European school.
2. To support international cooperation and communication between partners.
3. To develop responsibilities to cooperate from a long distance.
4. To improve English language for real-life purposes like communicating with other kids.
5. To perfect ICT usage.
6. To know traditions in other European country.
7. To present their school and their everyday activities there.
8. To share information about what they do afterschool, in their free time.
9. To exchange information about festivals and holidays that they celebrate in their countries.


Work process:
Students get to know each other through presentations and pictures of their schools, country and hometowns. Project work will be connected with a topic: games, books and films for kids, music and songs, our birthdays, holidays and places to visit, feasts (Christmas, Easter etc.), our hobbies - sport, animals; interesting lessons.


* September – Introduction
Children get to know children from other European school – photos or Power Point Presentations or albums about them, their school etc. All partners will send this presentation by e-mail (or publish on project website) or by post.


* October – Halloween
Children will play games, solve riddles and puzzles, arts and crafts connected with Halloween. They also could make jack-o'-lanterns. Photos and posts will be publish on project website.

* November - Our hobbies, games
Our hobbies - children will take photos and introduce themselves and their hobbies in English language. Teachers will prepare a ruched graph of children’s hobbies.

* December – Christmas
Presenting Christmas traditions in Poland, Slovakia and France.
All children will prepare Christmas cards (traditional or sending an e-mail).
All pupils will sing a chorus of English song „Jingle bells“ during videoconference, they could also play on the glockenspiel.

* January – Carnival
Organizing a fancyball in Polish, French and Slovak school.
“The most original costume” competition.
In Poland children will attend a Carnival concert in Ignacy Jan Paderewski Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz.

* February – Music


All pupils will sing in their national language and try to sing in other project languages a song „Panie Janie”.
They could also play on the glockenspiel „Panie Janie” song.

* March - Books for kids
The heroes of our books - reading aloud together selected works of children's literature.
Practical exercises in finding information on a specific topic in the encyclopedia and the Internet.
Make comparison about the books children like.
Competition for all the pupils – bookmarks for books.
Polish children will also visit a nearby library.
Slovak children will visit library in our town and they will discuss their most popular books, reports show books.

History of Olympic.
Organizing School Olympic in Polish and Slovak school. Teachers could compare children’s scores and set the winner, because they will do the same activities.
